Morgan Discovery Library Catalog

Books, eBooks, journals, articles, videos and much more can be found in our library catalog, Morgan.

  • Go to Morgan, and enter keywords, author names or titles in the search box.

  • eBook search: select "ebook" from the filter options on the left side.

  • Additional filters: author, articles only, publication year range, subject, etc. are are present on the left side.

NOTE: Access to eBooks and articles off-campus will require LPTS Outlook log in credentials and is only available to current students, faculty and staff. (what is used for LPTS email and Canvas).

Alums may access an abbreviated ATLA database, ATLAS for Alums - see Access for Alums

 

Please note:

  • For broad eBook or article searches, Morgan (library catalog) is recommended. EBook and article Searches in Morgan allows access to subscribed or open access titles available in many databases at once. 

  • Logging in to remote resources: The "Sign In" link at the top right of the Morgan catalog screen allows you to access your Morgan account (this is used to see what you have checked out, etc.) NOT for access to eBook content.

Morgan Accounts

Morgan Library Accounts allow patrons to:

  • Request a book to be pulled and held for pickup.
  • Save searches, book lists, eBook/online journal/article links.
  • Keep track of the books you have checked out.

Note: Don't confuse this account and sign-in link for Remote Resource Access (getting to full-text eBooks and articles)

How to Set up a Morgan Account:

  • Go to https://lpts.on.worldcat.org
  • Click: "Sign In" located at the top right corner of the screen
  • Click: "Set/Reset Password"
  • Input username: your name in this format: first.last  
  • System will send an email message (to the email address associated with your account) with a link that will enable you to create a password (this is an auto-generated email, check the junk mail box if do not receive an email from EBSCO].
  • If you need to verify your Morgan username or email address, contact us and we can provide that information.

Interlibrary Loan

Interlibrary Loan (ILL) enables staff the ability to request materials from other libraries. This includes both physical items like books or articles from journals we do not own. ILL requests are placed through the OCLC-ILL system and can take 1-3 weeks to be filled, depending on the lending library. Article and chapter requests are fulfilled electronically. For materials to be returned to the lending library, the due date and any late fees are determined by that library and are passed on to the patron.

Course Reserves

Course Reserve Textbooks

What course textbooks are on reserve?

  • If interested in print books, ask at the Circulation Desk.

  • Course Reserve Landing Page is handy for finding find both print and online titles, and are grouped by course. Students may Search course reserves by term, professor or class number.

  • Print copies of books held on reserve may be checked out for 2 hours.* Students are free scan excerpts from books in the library lobby.
  • Patrons must be aware of and follow U.S. Copyright regulations when scanning materials.

  • While the library makes every effort to collect print and online editions of textbooks, the library may not have copies of all textbooks.

*Items checked out within the last 2 hours of the building hours must be returned the following morning.
