Since the kingdom of God is the future reign of God breaking into the present through the life and ministry of Jesus, we are a forward-leaning movement emphasizing the ever-reforming nature of the church engaging the world in love."

Short History:  Founded by Kenn Gulliksen who founded a church in Hollywood in 1974, and felt that God called him to name it Vineyard in 1975.  He transferred leadership of the seven Vineyard churches to John Wimber in 1982. The Vineyard Worship record label promotes their worship music to Vineyard and other Evangelical churches.
